# Lazar Winery

> A premium family-owned winery in Stobi, North Macedonia, producing over 300,000 bottles annually of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines from the Tikveš region. Combines four generations of grape-growing heritage with a modern 2,500 m² production facility, fine-dining restaurant and boutique apartments.

The Ristov family has cultivated vineyards in the fertile Tikveš region for four generations. Lazar Winery was founded in 2001 by Lazar Ristov in Negotino and has since grown into a flagship Macedonian wine producer, earning international awards including the first gold medal ever awarded to a Macedonian wine at Mundus Vini in Germany. In 2015 the winery moved to its current estate near the ancient city of Stobi along the E-75 corridor connecting Skopje and Thessaloniki.

The winery specializes in indigenous grape varieties — particularly Kratošija (akin to Zinfandel) and Vranec — alongside international varieties such as Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio.
